MOSCOW FILM FESTIVAL SCREENS THE KARENINA & I BY ITALIAN DIRECTOR
June 26th, 2017
On June 23rd, 2017 within the "Atelier" section of the 39th Moscow Film Festival, the Russian premiere of the film "Karenina and I" by Italian director Tommaso Mottola was held. The lead role in the film was played by the movie star of the Norwegian theater Gorild Mauseth.

The filming of the documentary was made possible after the invitation of Gorild Mauset to Vladivostok to participate in the Russian production of Anna Karenina on stage of the Gorky Theater. So the actress goes on a trip to Tolstoy's homeland to learn the language and immerse himself in the writer's world.

On the way, she visits theaters, film studios, opera houses, meets local people and relatives of Tolstoy, and gradually the boundaries between Anna and Gorild disappear ... She begins to hear the voice of a great writer who helps to understand what she is not able to express in words.
