THE SOCHI FILM MARKET SCREENED 30 MINUTES OF THE FILM "BUDDY"
July 7th, 2017
The film was shot in Vladivostok in the summer of 2015 with the support of the Film Commission of Vladivostok. And it is planned to be released in September 2017. The film is scheduled to be screened as part of the 15th International Pacific Meridian Film Festival of Asia Pacifc coutries in Vladivostok.

The Sochi Film Market presented a 30 minutes footage of the film "Buddy".
... In Sochi opened the Russian film market. The first projects were presented to theaters by TV-3 and "Our cinema".

... "Our cinema" gave the participants of the film market an opportunity to evaluate two big autumn releases – Russian films "Buddy" and "Salyut-7". The opening half an hour footage of the "Buddy" allowed to see a strong script and colorful location. Vladivostok really is shown for the first time on a big screen in all its beauty and looks like San Francisco - with the silhouette of a bridge in the fog, Chinatown, hilly streets, boats and prison on the island. The computer graphics (and according to the story the hero of Sergei Garmash is imprisoned in the body of the baby because of the curse, and the baby's face was animated using motion capture technology, trying to convey the facial expression of the adult actor as much as possible) is still work in progress, which was noticeable in most of the scenes. However, it's easy to believe that by the time of release the child's face will look as natural as possible. CTC TV channel and film company has become one of the partners for the project.
